inspiration
Intuition or Inspiration
Last week on a teleclass I was asked if intuition and inspiration are the same and I admitted that it was something that I had been pondering recently.
I said that intuition is something that we have a feeling about … maybe there is a decision that we are trying to make and then we get the answer. Sometimes we meet someone and know instantly about whether we want to associate with this person. For many it is a feeling in the pit of the stomach and that is why intuition is often referred to as a “gut” feeling.
Inspiration is something totally different.
A few years ago I had been pondering the concept of where money comes from in the spiritual sense. Then one day I was standing in my kitchen and I asked this question outloud. I received an answer that told me to interview a series of experts in the field and I said to myself ..”OK.” Then an idea popped into my head that said “Why don’t you interview them and create an audio series and then sell it.”
I stood there just pondering this idea that came through and hit me on my head. I call it getting “zinged!” And I thought about it and made the decision to get started and within 24 hours had already lined up half of the speakers.
When you take immediate and bold action there is a divine flow from the universe that supports your efforts.
So next time you are wondering … “Is it inspiration or is it intuition?” Just tune in…This raises your awareness.
I do believe at times there is a fine line and it is probably not important to know and label whether something is intuition or inspiration.
The most important thing to remember is that we LISTEN and TAKE APPROPRIATE INSPIRED ACTION!
Garden Meditation and Adventure
Recently I was inspired to go out in my garden and pull the many weeds that had been growing. It was really interesting because I had been dreading it for weeks as I watched the weeds grow tall and wide.
When I started pulling weeds it was refreshing and it felt as if I was pulling weeds from my mind. There was a woosh of energy that kept pushing me to do something I would have preferred to hire a gardener for. I began to really enjoy myself and even pulled up a stool to sit on because I was getting tired after spending much more time in the garden than I had planned!
In one way I was really excited I waited so long because some of weeds were long enough to grab several bunches at a time so it was going much faster than I expected.
And then it happened!
It started raining and I did not mind. In fact I kept going and it started to rain really hard and I was just loving it. I had never done anything like that before and it was so exhilarating. My clothes and hair were completely drenched and I was covered with mud.
Fortunately I was wearing my waterproof hiking shoes that went up over my ankles and when I stood up my shoes completely submerged in the earth and I was hysterical with laughter and wished someone could have been there to witness my playfulness and my joyfulness.
This could never have happened had I gone out to pull weeds when I did not feel the inspiration to do it. This is what told me to put on those hiking shoes and to wear the jeans I wore!
When I had enough in the garden I hosed myself down to get all the mud off of me and felt like a child who was having the time of her life!
After I showered I wrapped towels around me and relaxed in a dark room and it reminded me when I traveled to Calistoga, California and spent some time in a spa that all began with being totally submerged in a bathtub of mud! After that I gave myself a pedicure!
Then I relaxed on the lounge chair in my den and looked out at the garden. It was so clean and fresh and I felt the same way.
What I realized in that moment is that I felt close to mother earth in a way that was very new to me and I could’ve sat there for hours except I was getting really hungry!
Usually I drive to Whole Foods or the Chinese restaurant around the corner to pick up my favorite food and this day I felt different and wanted something to match how I felt.
All of a sudden I thought about a Vietnamese restaurant I had not been to in over a year and realized that was where I wanted to be. This particular restaurant is about 20 minutes from my house and near the nursery I like to buy my plants from and it is in a wonderful part of town … lots of really good energy!
So that is what I did and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and then I went to Whole Foods for dessert and shared my story with a friend!!
The entire day and evening was completely inspired from first going out into the garden to my “spa” treatment for myself to eating at restaurant I love with all the tiny details in between. And the deep relaxation and living meditation was immense and pleasurable beyond all measure!
If you enjoyed my story do let me know and I would love to hear any stories you have about living an inspired day!
Love and Inspiration!

Authenticity: A Simple Lesson
In 1991 I pioneered ergonomics and in 1996 I launched one of the first ergonomic product websites which I sold in 2008. I sold it because after 17 years in that business it was time to be authentic in a new area.
(Oh in case you are wondering, the ergonmics website I created is www.ergopro.com. Tell them I said hello!)
I realize that a part of me always thought that to be fully authentic I had to do everything on my own. Of course that is not the case. Authenticity develops on the inside and only recently did I begin understand that on a more meaningful level.
Here’s how it happened.
Nine months ago I met someone on Twitter whom I had noticed before but chose not to follow her because something felt “off.”
Call it intuition.
Weeks later she followed me and her first communication to me was that I was wrong about something. Being my forgiving and sometimes naive self I followed her and let it go knowing we all have our own perceptions.
On one of our early phone calls an intriguing idea presented itself to us. She wanted to get started right away and I was still in the middle of producing my Spiritual Grid Manifestation DVD and told her I was definitely interested and would let her know when I was ready.
Deep down my intuition was speaking to me and I knew that I could not work with her while creating my DVD. Months later I wrote her and suggested we create that program. It just felt like the right time.
We began a series of phone calls and became much clearer about the series. Being the consummate businesswoman I am I suggested a written agreement and even though she ignored me I allowed myself to get deeper into the project and kept “giving in.”
After a short time I realized she saw me as her “admin” when she frequently ordered me to take actions at a moments notice! Again I suggested we create an agreement about responsibilities and again it was ignored. Yet I kept going because the project was still intriguing to me.
I kept doing everything she asked and then got creative and practiced some videos in the park to promote the series. That same weekend she began accusing me of not working and my response was to stop working!
Funny how the mind works. She proceeded to send me a series of accusatory emails and then I began experiencing excrutiating pain and landed in the emergency room and then I could not work! Her emails kept coming even though she knew I was not well for several days. She even told me she did not care I was sick!
That is when I got it! It was the final straw and I told her I did not want to play with her anymore. It just hurt too much.
That very same day I had a series of phone calls with other people and the theme that kept appearing was authenticity!
My first clues of a potential conflict came many months before.
Once I was able to recognize the truth I wrote a letter to the list we created and told everyone that in order to be authentic I had to exit.
Fortunately I also now understand the meaning of authenticity on a deeper level. My authenticity has nothing to do with doing everything on my own as I once thought.
My authenticity has everything to do with staying true to my core beliefs and principles and only allowing people in my life that are serving me. It also has to feel good! When I listen to and take action on my intuition I am being authentic. The experience itself served me well and once I was able to rise above it and receive the learning I was complete.
Authenticity is certainly the theme of the moment for me. What about you?
What areas of your life are causing you to ponder? What have you been putting up with?
Let me know how this has served you.
Well it is time to take action on my new inspirations! But first I think it is time for some dark chocolate. Now that’s being authentic!

Creativity The Unseen Force That Changes Your Life
You cannot see it, feel it or touch it.
Creativity is energy and it comes to you in the form of an idea that may the solution to a problem in your life. The idea that flows into your mind has a universal life force built into it.
Creativity is the spark of inspiration that comes to you seemingly out of the blue. It is delivered to you in a flash. It seems like it is coming to you from somewhere outside but in reality it is coming from somewhere deep inside of you.
In this instant you are connected to or tapped in to a force of energy called the universe. You are now in the flow. Take note that this spark of insight came specifically to you for a reason. There might be others that have received the same idea in the same moment but did not take action. Or they may develop the idea independently of you on the other side of the world. It has happened and will happen again
What you do with this idea can be a determining factor in how fast your current situation can improve.
When an idea is delivered to you in a moment of spontaneity it carries with it all the forces of the universe to help produce the idea into reality. So it is of the utmost importance to take immediate action because this energy fuels the desire.
All you must do is take the first step. Once you do the next step will reveal itself to you and as you continue to take these small actions it will become easier and you will begin to trust the process much more.
Over 20 years ago I began to be in touch with this flow of energy and creative insight almost daily. I did not grow up in a house where there was time for creativity so I did not know how to channel these ideas.
There were so many ideas coming to me that I remember looking up and asking it to stop! It did to my delight. Then many years later I allowed it to come back and again it did to my delight!
You were born with this natural ability to be creative.
How are you tapping in and allowing your personal brand of creativity to change your life for the better?
Let me know!

Breathe…If You Think You Can’t…
If you think you can’t…..
Breathe
If you think you cannot make it another day or another month
Breathe
If you are wondering how to pay the mortgage or rent
Breathe
If you think you cannot heal
Breathe
If life seems difficult
Breathe
If you do not feel happy
Breathe
If there seems to be no time to play and enjoy life
Breathe
If you feel that you have been wronged in some way
Breathe
If you think that you will lose it all
Breathe
If you have fear running through your body
Breathe
Because breathing brings you into the present
Away from the issues of the past
And away from the fears of the future
The only moment you have is right now
To create…
So continue to breathe in the energy of the universe
To keep you focused in the present
And to fuel your desires and inspired actions
And to stay calm and centered in the now.
Manifesting in the Spiritual Grid
You live in an energetic universe that is unique to you.
You have the opportunity to form it, mold it, shape it any way you want when you claim your desires through your thoughts, pictures, actions, emotions and beliefs.
This creative Universe is what I call the “Spiritual Grid.”
The Spiritual Grid ManifestationTM technology I created works because of the nature of the universe. It is an electromagnetic grid that makes up the entire universe, including you and the earth.
This grid is why we feel “connected” to others, nature, etc.
Gregg Braden writes in Spontaneous Healing of Belief that all manifestations are a “wrinkle in the grid.” That includes every “thing”, situation, event and experience! Even you and I are wrinkles in the grid!
Think of it this way…
Each physical manifestation begins as pure energy as a thought or an idea. This energy transmutes into physical manifestation with focus such as additional thought, emotion and action.
The emotion that goes into the action will be a part of the manifestation so be sure that your focused energy is “pure POSITIVE energy.”
If you have been putting your attention on what you do not want then turn it around and focus on what you do want. Then get into the feeling of “I am so excited that I already have _______” and feel it in every cell of your body!
Embody your desire so deep inside your bones that you know it is done. You will be inspired to take action. Then allow it to manifest by trusting and letting go. Be happy and grateful for what is currently showing up in your life.

The Planning of My First LIVE Law of Attraction Event
This past Saturday, Feb 21, 2009 I led my first public workshop about the Spiritual Grid Manifestation Technology which I have been developing over the past few years.
In attendance were the best people I could have imagined as they were extremely supportive of me.
I had the sheer guts not only teach this “out there” material in the public but I also had it professionally videotaped! So there were all sorts of technical issues that occurred that I did not plan for!!
The 60 minute tapes only lasted 40 minutes so we took more breaks. I fought the idea of wearing makeup only having to succumb to it in the end. I do admit that after seeing some of the video it is a good idea to wear makeup. My fear was that everyone would be able to actually see the makeup but all they really see is me! Without the makeup I would looked washed out so thank you to all who helped with that. I DID do my own hair though and all we had to do was brush it later in the day!
The person who was going to help assist me for the workshop was not able to make it so I was managing it all on my own. It was all perfect because I was given the opportunity to see what was necessary for next time.
There is sooo much more to consider when you are planning a LIVE event!
Here are some things I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone that is going to present a LIVE workshop:
1: Make a List of What is Necessary & Include the following:
Hire an assistant who is available to help you the entire week before your event and to attend your event. Have assistant take notes and make all the lists of things that must get done.
I suggest professional help with hair and makeup especially if you are planning to videotape your event. You will want help with lunch, handouts, binders, preparing space, nametags, checking in attendees, bringing materials to space, arranging chairs and tables, snacks, drinks, packing up at the end of the day and much more. Start planning in advance and keep a list of all that must be done. Include your assistant in every bit of the planning.
The only thing you want to be doing is preparing yourself and your material for the workshop!
2: Take Care of YOU!
Rest your body the week before your workshop. Get a massage. Get plenty of sleep. Exercise. Stretch. Make sure you eat regular and healthy meals and drink plenty of water. All of this will help you prepare your mind and body for the big day!
3: Create a Workshop Schedule
Have a general idea of what you will be speaking about and when. It is possible that you might change the schedule but having this will be a big help! Your assistant can help with this! Be sure to include plenty of rest breaks so that your attendees can be at their best. I provided a healthy array of snacks from my favorite store..If you can guess which store then tweet me at @wendygyoung. The first one who guesses correctly will win an iLoveU t-shirt from me. Yes! I will pack it and ship it myself!!
4: Meet with Vendors:
If you plan to videotape your event be sure to meet with potential videographers to get a feel for who they are. Ask for references and check them out. Do not pay for everything in advance. Give them a deposit and then pay them in increments along the way. Pay them after they have shot the video and given you the raw video. Then pay them in full only after you have received the final edited video unless you are editing on your own. Edit on your own only if you know how. You want to get your product out there in reasonable amount of time after you present.
Be sure to tour several meeting spaces before you make your decision. Consider the layout of the room and the additional services offered. Do they provide hot water for tea, bottled water and snacks? This is essential as your workshop participants must have something to drink during the day if you want them to have sustainable energy to listen to your presentation.
If you are planning an event do let me know and feel free to add any of your event planning ideas to this blog.
Happy Planning!

Who are you BEING in your Perfect Place in Time?
This past weekend I was on my Facebook page and received an IM from the other side of the world from a man that thought I could help him. He had no idea it was 6:21am on Saturday morning and that I had practically just opened my sleepy eyes but I chatted with him for a bit.
He told me that relationships are very difficult for him. I could feel his sadness. He told me that someone like me would not know anything like that. Yet I explained to him that I had been where he is now and with practice relationships have become much easier for me over the years. Sometime though knowing a tool can make all the difference in the world.
It appeared that he was focusing on exactly what he did not want so of course that is going to bring him even more of what he does not want and more heartache. Without getting into all the implications of the Law of Attraction I suggested that he simply take some time that day and write down exactly what he wanted in a romantic relationship. He said that he would do that so I could feel that he was open to hearing some advice.
Then I felt this intuitive zing to suggest that he begin loving himself more. I had no idea how he was going to react or respond to this as I know nothing about him. Yet I felt the nudge to mention this because if we desire someone to love us then we must love ourselves first. We must BE that loving person we want to attract in our life.
His response….”I am going to take a bold step!” That is what he said. It did not take much time at all. He made a decision based upon a simple suggestion.
What a great way to start my day!
A few hours later I was in a conversation with a Twitter friend and the idea of beingness came up. She had mentioned that she would like to be in a continual place of being instead of the bouts of beingness that she currently experiences.
I told her that all was in perfect order and that those bouts of being are the perfect place for her to begin moving forward towards the place she wants to be…
And here is her response… “Everything is perfect for me to be in that state of beingness I want right now.”
Both of them are very fast learners! Yeah for them and yeah for the rest of the world! The more we love ourselves and stay in that place of beingness the more we inspire those around us to take these same actions. It is the ripple effect.
This is a perfect time to practice as Barack Obama begins his term in office tomorrow. We are all in this together and it begins with ME!
What are some ways that you display love towards yourself?
Tell me about your bouts of beingness.
Look forward to your comments on my blog!
