Awaken The Artist Art & Coloring Challenge – Day 3/21

A couple of weeks ago I asked if any of my Facebook friends would like a goddess drawing and I had five courageous volunteers!

This is goddess drawing number 2 of 5 for my friend Jillian Coleman Wheeler. Jillian is an amazing person and a great writer and I am honored to create this drawing for her.

The video stopped in the middle and I picked it up again immediately after. Technology!!

I’m not quite done and will work on this tomorrow. The intention is to finish all the art I start and it’s okay if I work on it in two or three parts! I’m enjoying the journey.

Today’s Video on Periscope

I talked a little bit about what has kept me from creating art and what I have been doing about it. My art journey has been very interesting and has led me to helping others to awaken their inner artist. It was interesting on this periscope because there was a troll that told me that I should not even try to be earning money off of my art. I blocked him and then I told everybody else that had it been 5 or 6 years ago I would have taken that comment very personally.

I went on to say that over the past few years I have observed the making of art by so many artists and have been incredibly amazed at the different kinds of talent. I’ve compared my art to other people and I have sometimes thought my heart wasn’t good enough and other times I realized yes my art is good enough.

Really what matters is what I feel inside. I now allow myself to enjoy my journey… my creative expressive journey. I’ve come to the point where I love my art. Mostly I love the creation of the art and when I’m done I feel good. It might not be the Sistine Chapel Ceiling by Michelangelo and that’s okay! I’m totally fine with my own journey and I encourage you to begin your journey as well.
