Hi my name is Linda Howarth and I met Wendy through facebook. I noticed her playful attitude and that her art represented something I felt deep inside of myself. We connected and she invited me to go through the same process she had developed to reconnect with her own artist inside.
Wendy was met with a fair bit of resistance in the beginning as my mind struggled to hold onto the old way of thinking, but with her gentle, patient, non-judgemental guidance and support, the cracks in my armour began to show. Up until that time I had a huge block in accepting myself as a creative person and this manifested in my inability to create the art I knew I had inside.
Between the steps and processes I was able to uncover and remember moments from my childhood where I had become stuck in my thinking. These insights also enabled me to see why this deep desire to create art had been stifled and had been difficult to manifest.
Through some writing tasks and artistic “homeplay” I was able to connect with myself in a new way and gradually open up to allow the process to come through. As I opened to the process old beliefs began to shift and I was able to take back and own some aspects of my life that brought with it a change in perspective as an adult. I took back the ownership of my right to do art and gave myself permission to experience and explore my creative side.
As a result of working with Wendy I also achieved some art alongside the insights and was able to honour my passion for colour. The process for me therefore, was an opportunity for me to connect with forgotten aspects of myself and in this remembrance healing took place.
I highly recommend Wendy to anyone wanting to reconnect with the creative side they might have lost during this journey called life.
