Day 0 – Saying YES to ME / 30 Stories in 30 Days! – December 2013 Series
A couple of years ago I began writing a series of stories. I intended to write 30 Stories in 30 Days yet after completing five stories I experienced a huge insight about my life and was guided down a new path and through a series of processes. This led me to own the artist within me and it has been life changing. I’ve written enough for a book in the past couple of years but until now did not feel ready to share anything with anyone other than myself.
So this month I’ll be SAYING YES to ACCEPTING my life 100% to whatever is showing up. The outcome I would like to experience at the end of this series is feeling GRATITUDE for EVERYTHING. Who knows what miracles may happen?!
I’ll be SAYING YES to what is challenging, easy, fun, crazy, boring, peaceful, colorful, playful, painful, difficult, taking longer than I want, etc. I’ll be SAYING YES to what I rather not experience and what I enjoy. I’ll be SAYING YES to what feeds my pleasure, fun and playfulness and what does not. I’ll be SAYING YES to my life experiences as I am inspired.
I’m looking forward to this journey of sharing and learning more about myself. I’m taking a big leap of faith that I’ll tap into my inspiration to write and create art everyday along with everything else happening in my life.

Standing Inside an Energetic Mandala
Friday evening I was leaving my house to attend a friend’s party. A number of my mandala drawings were in the car and I was about to bring them inside my house when I received a hunch that someone may want to look at them.
At the party I met a very kind and outgoing woman named Niecy. She wanted to know what I do so I told her that I had just created a mandala eColoring Book and when she was really excited to know more I told her that some of the drawings were in the car and I asked if she wanted to see them. She said yes.
So I brought them in and she and a couple of others gathered around and looked at them. I was very proud to show them and was equally excited that they loved them. It is the first time I have openly showed my artwork and felt very comfortable doing so.
Niecy immediately told me that she is the person who I was “being guided” to show my mandala drawings to.
Then she shared that I am channeling my artwork and asked me if I realized that. I told her that I really had not thought about it in that way and that I just sit quietly and allow the image to come into my mind and then I draw. That my friends is what creativity is all about … going with the flow and expanding into it deeper and higher!
Sometimes I start it one way and it transforms into something completely surprising to me.
Then she told me that I am channeling artwork from the 8th dimension. I was like “Wow! That’s cool!”
(The next day I saw a shaman friend of mine at Whole Foods and told her the story and she said that creativity comes from the 8th dimension and that when we want to tap into our creativity we want to “bring” the 8th dimension energy down! I think that is what I naturally do and now I can do it with intention and purpose!)
Then all of a sudden Niecy asked if she could put her hand on my forehead. I had no idea why. She immediately removed her hand and said she could feel all sorts of pulsing that I was not aware of in that moment.
My body began to vibrate! My friend Christy Love with Feed Your Chakras was there and she immediately knew to take my left hand to help ground me. Niecy asked the other person there to move to my right and take my hand to ground me there. It only took a minute or two before Niecy said I was grounded.
Niecy told me that she opened my 3rd eye! It was so quick and I was obviously ready to receive this transformational experience. She told me to pay attention to my lucid dreaming and other things that may be showing up.
Soon after I went outside in the backyard where there was a burning bowl (fire) going for people to let go of old behaviors, ideas, etc. I took a large stick to move some of the larger logs and bring some oxygen into the fire and Joseph Zenner took a picture of me. In fact he was so amazed at what he was seeing that he took two more pictures!
If you look closely you will see that I am “standing in the middle of the “energetic” mandala and that you can see four petals starting from the top down!!”
To the left is the center of the mandala and you can see the right side of the ball of light and you can see a thinner lining of light around that. And then on the right you can see the formation of flower petals!!!
Look starting from the top and you will see how the top one overlaps with the middle petal. You can only barely see how the middle petal overlaps with the bottom because of the fire and I am standing in the area where the left bottom petal overlaps with the other petal.
Oh and there were no lights anywhere around in the background that would create this effect. That is one of the things that Joseph made sure I could see!Â
And see how the light from my pineal gland – 3rd eye – is shining through to my nose from the back of the my head where the pineal gland is physically located. So cool!
So when Joseph showed me the pictures I grabbed his camera (with his permission of course!) and ran into the house to show Niecy. She told me that it is just one of the miracles of my 3rd eye being opened and a gift I am bringing into 2012.
It is my first real experience with really seeing something like this and I am still really understanding it! I fully accept the gift and the miracle of this and I know that more information is coming to me about this experience and I am totally sure that I am opening myself up to understand much more about this universe!
That was such a confirmation to me about my guidance to create mandalas as one of my very first art projects of my art career! What will be pretty cool too will be when I can see the mandala all around me!

Inner Peace with Mandalas
Happy New Year to you! May 2012 bring you many joy-filled and transformational experiences!
I know there is a lot going on all around us and yet it is still possible to experience joy and inner peace … yes … even when there is much to be resolved.
In fact that is the most important time to find inner peace so that resolution CAN occur.
As a right-brained, creative entrepreneur in left-brained businesses for most of my adult life I can tell you stories!!
In 2003 when a huge (well it was huge to me) ergonomic consulting contract was unraveling with a multibillion dollar oil company I was in deep turmoil.
I knew it was the beginning of finding myself only I had no idea what that was going to entail.
One of the things I did to soothe myself was meditate with and color mandalas.
http://wendygyoung.com/mandalas/
I used to wonder how spending time coloring and meditating on mandalas was going to help me because I had no clue about anything in my life at that time.
I was hurting tremendously (wow, as I write this my eyes are watering) and I found mandalas to relax and calm me.
Did they solve all my problems and were they the answer to all my worries?
No, but the biggest thing they did for me was to calm me down in the moment and give me hope and a clear mind so that I could make new choices about my life.
As I look back I can see how they did play a role in who I have become today.
Every shift I can claim for myself whether it was from a walk around the park, a bubble bath or coloring mandalas is a shift in the right direction.
So I invite you to color along with me and bring some peace, harmony and creativity into your day. http://wendygyoung.com/mandalas
With Love Wendy
PS. My mandala drawings are channeled via my guides. In fact as I am drawing and immersed in taking other actions with this project I feel a tingling sensation in my back. I have been told that I my spirit guides are here with me 😉 … More on that experience later!
PSS. I would really love to reach more people this year. Would you please share with your friends, family and your social media networks? Thank you!

Happy Awakening Consciousness Year
I love how my new year is beginning. How about you?
Several days ago I completed my first art project since owning the fact that I am an artist. I have so much to say about this topic in coming blog posts.
Right now I will say that I finally understand what it means to come from my core and let everything else flow from there. Last year someone who I admire said that and I had to really think.
I admit that I have lived an entire life not owning who I am … an artist. And this past year I have been embodying this information. Sometimes it feels like one big joke on ME. I mean …really … how could I not know I was an artist anyway?
(That is a story I will be sharing because I am pretty clear that it is a similar story for many other people as well who, like me, were shut down at an early age from being who they truly are. And now I am shedding some tears. Ah, yes…more and more getting to the core of how I am…shedding the layers of who I am not to get to who I am!)
So, there is art on my walls from a short stint of painting about 20 years ago. Then several years ago I was too lazy to take out all the paints and get into the production on messy painting so I bought a set of colored, charcoal pencils and created art that way.
My art is always colorful. That is just the way I flow….the way I see and love to see the world.
In the past it took me a long time to love and appreciate my art and now it is instant. I have come a long, long way!
In 2011 I created a cartoon series which I am still in the process of perfecting and my most recent art project is my “Wendalas Mandalas eColoring Book.”
I love drawing. Always have. I dreamed a lifetime of wanting to be an artist only discover that the reason I wanted it is because I already am one!
What a magical year 2011 was discovering so many deep and wonderful secrets about myself. And I know that 2012 is going to be the best and I am so excited to embark on this journey.
I have many surprises to share with you about being courageous, inspired and creative and all under the umbrella of fun! I see that being courageous has been one of my biggest lessons.
It has been very scary to step out and be vulnerable with my art and I have learned so many things along the way. If you feel inspired I would love for you to take this journey with me!
Be in touch soon!
And again … Happy Awakening Consciousness Year!
Love
Wendy
