Wendy,
Just came across your blog from Twitter. I was the one that recommended you take Uggs with you on your trip! I hope you stayed warm. I just loved my weekend in the city, and hope you did too!

I enjoyed reading your blog about loving yourself. After 47 years, I finally realized what that meant, and have made that priority #1 in my life in the last few years. I had lost myself in my marriage and motherhood. I had sacrificed myself in a disfunctional relationship shortly thereafter, in order to not be alone.

But, in the last 5 years, I have come to love (maybe too much) my alone time. I learned how to be my own best friend, to love and accept myself, and in turn, how to accept and love those around me. The more (genuine) love I give to myself, the more I can give to others.

There is still nobody significant in my life right now, but, this time, I know it is for a purpose, and it is a pleasure. I highly covet the rare moments of solitude I get, and I know the universe is giving me time I lost previously to reacquaint myself with my new love, and to get comfy with who I am. I have really gotten there, and it has helped me make the most amazing shifts in my life. My business is ROCKING, and my soul gets to shine through in everything I do. I finally found my perfect passions in life, and I couldn't be happier. Loving myself first, was the key!

Thanks for the great blog! Looking forward to reading more!

You are absolutely spot on Wendy. When we start to BE love, we are generating the ATTRACTION of LOVE and start to attract the things WE LOVE... I go into this concept much deeper in my book :-) Best wishes, from another man on the other side of the Atlantic. Mark.

As I read this post for the 2nd time all parts of it are appropriate to the place I'm in at the moment.
The universe always provides answers and support. You just need to listen and let it in.
Thank you for sharing these uplifting thoughts, Wendy.

Always enjoy reading these kinds of interaction, so thank you for sharing. They are almost like reading Horatio Alger stories writ small. Heartening, encouraging and best of all real...
